The Powerslide Offroad XC Trainer 150 Road nordic skates have a really nice price-to-performance ratio. They are designed for exploring off-road tracks and forest paths, providing hours of fun exercise at the same time. The Powerslide Offroad XC Trainer 150 Road run small in size. We therefore recommend choosing one size up from your regular shoe size. These skates will fit just right if you have narrow feet.
Remember to check the screws before first use and tighten them if necessary. Please also note that you have to regularly examine the condition of the screws afterward.
Alastair McKenzieUnited Kingdom3 of 5I've owned two generations of the XC skates, So I feel a review is overdue.
These along with the correct sticks are the most physically demanding activity you can take part in and here's why:
The tyres have massive rolling resistance so you either work hard and get your technique right or your not going far very fast.
They are sold as off-road but that is not true, any soft ground and you WILL go flying like a drunken bird. They are for hard surface or hard light gravel paths only (tow paths, forest route paths etc).
The good points:
The quality of build is top rate
The brakes are amazing, I recommend one on each boot.
They are serious fun, for as long as your fitness lasts.
People will watch you open mouthed like your an alien on wheels.
Do I recommend, O YES and this site offers great selection on the xc skates and parts. ENJOY!!Reply from SkateProThank you for such a detailed and honest review! You nailed it XC skating is definitely an intense workout, and you're spot on about sticking to hard gravel paths and towpaths rather than soft ground! We are thrilled to hear you're loving the build quality, the dual brake setup, and turned heads along the way. Thanks for being a loyal customer and for sharing your experience with the community. // Your SkatePro Team 🔥😀Ingar GrønnumHammerfest, NorwayVerified Buyer3 of 5The brakes have one flaw: the screws used during installation. I had to replace them with stronger screws.Reply from SkateProHi! Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that you’re not stoked on the quality of the product. I've tried them on concrete, asphalt, rough dirt roads, and even light gravel. They're fantastic, and the boots are super comfortable. I highly recommend them. I inflate the tires with a simple hand-operated bicycle pump.P. patrickÉvaux-les-Bains, FranceVerified Buyer3 of 5Skates can't be used on all types of terrain, booties are rather uncomfortable because they're too narrow, and wheels are very difficult to inflate unless you have an electric inflator equipped with a notched nozzle, and especially not a screw thread, because the pressure is such that by the time you unscrew the nozzle, all the air is gone. It would have been much more comfortable if you could have put on your boots without the wheels first, and then attached the wheels like a ski binding, given the length of the assembly.Reply from SkateProThank you for taking the time to leave a review and share your experience! The skates you bought are indeed a bit narrow. That's why we generally recommend choosing at least one size up, as indicated in our size chart. They are designed to offer an adjustable fit to ensure good control and support during use.
These skates are specifically designed for off-road use, on trails and forest paths, and not for all types of surfaces. They have been designed to be as practical as possible and quick to put on. For this reason, an alternative system - such as putting them on without the wheels at first - would unfortunately not work as effectively.
