What Is Surfskating?
Surfskating is a style of skateboarding that replicates the movement of surfing, but it takes place on land. Specialized surfskate trucks allow for deep movements, tight turns, and pumping. On a surfskate, you generate speed by pumping and shifting your weight from heel to toe. In surfskating, you don't put one foot to the ground to push like you do on skateboards or longboards.
Surfskating is ideal for practicing actual wave surfing maneuvers, improving balance, or just enjoying the thrill of surfing in the streets. With surfskating, you get the chance to keep the right muscle groups active after the surf-season is out.

Surfskate Trucks

Surfskate trucks are completely different from regular skateboard trucks. Surfskate trucks are not optimal for regular skateboarding, and regular skateboard trucks are not optimal for surfskating.
Wheels for Surfskating
Wheels influence surface grip, rolling speed, and vibration absorption. Softer wheels provide better traction and they roll smoother on rough surfaces, while harder wheels offer easier powerslides. Wheel diameter and the size of the contact patch also affect stability and turning ability.
