While the Shock Sleeve Pro Elbow Gasket from Ennui may not carry the same level of protection as a thick padded, hard-cap protector, it sure does make up for it in the way it allows you to move freely while doing your action sport.

A stretchable knitted cotton sleeve has been fitted internally with silicone strips to prevent slippage, ensure a snug fit and that the pads stay in place all the time. It's mounted with the uniquely developed material - SPC - that is the brainchild of both the development team at Ennui/Powerslide and the guys over at MyFit - Who make skate liners for Powerslide.

This material will not only absorb the load of impact but also help disperse it throughout the construction - Ensuring that the impact to your joints is limited as much as possible. The Pro version features an abrasion resistant Kevlar coating, which provides more flexy comfort and protection than the non-pro version and allows you to move around even more freely.

A clear benefit from this soft-shell protection is both the low weight and also the ability to be protected beneath your regular clothing - Allowing you to look stylish and be fully protected at the same time.

Besides crash protection, the pro version also protects from glides with its high abrasion resistant Aramid fiber cover. A smart choice for downhill longboarders and speed skaters. The pro model is also slightly lighter than the non-pro version, weighing next to nothing.

I watched a video on youtube by a professional skater who recommended this product and I am glad I purchased it. It delivered on quality, safety and looks. Very happy with it.

These are the best pads if you want stealthy flexible pads without a cup. The high tech fabric is kind of slippery so you slide when you fall on them and ergonomically they have a better fit than any other brand. I ordered and tried on about $500 worth of pads ---all different brands to try on. Of all those pads the Ennui Shock Sleeve Pro Knee Gasket and Elbow Gasket were the ones I kept.

Fab elbow gasket. It did the job when I fell and landed on my arm. The sizing is odd. With the knee gaskets they fit tight according to my measuring, but the elbow gaskets are a lot looser. They still stay up though so I’m happy overall.

Same as the knee pads, really comfortable and give that nice filling of freedom for you moves, it doesn't block you as a normal plastic pad. Can get a bit worn but not to bad.

Excellent sleeves! Expensive, but well worth it. The fit is spot on using the measurements in the size guide. They fit nicely under clothing and are a nice combination of flexibility and protection.
