Drifter 2018 Kite

A stable and responsive kite for kitesurfing from Cabrinha. The Drifter is a kite aiming for surfing the waves and surfing freestyle with properties like great control and pop.

The Drifter kite is designed with Pure Profile Panels, superior power delivery and good Slack line Drift - everything you will like for a great time in the waves with focus on...the waves, instead of where the kite is in the air, due to a steady pull and power for your tricks and cutbacks.

Features:

• 1X Security

When activating the 1x security system the power of the kite is immediately killed and it will rest motionless on the water or land.

• Dynamic Arc

This technology allows the kite to have two different arc shapes.
It has one arc shape when in the air and another when resting on the water to open up a bit more to facilitate an easier relaunch.

• High Tenacity Dacron

The material that Cabrinha uses enhances to keep the structure intact and at the same time, it combats deformation while in flight and this also lower the elongation to make more precise and predictable kites.

• Onshore/Offshore

The Drifter kites have this technology integrated. Offshore setting optimizes performance for surfing in side shore and offshore wind. This facilitates better upwind ability which allows for easier cutbacks in offshore wind.Onshore setting optimizes performance for surfing in side shore and onshore wind. This setting provides for the maximum amount of “drift” as well as tighter turning.

• Power Control

Each “pig tail” connector for the rear lines on the kite have three power positions that you can choose. The middle position is factory recommended position. Choose the knot closest to the kite to create more power. Choose the knot closest to the rider to create less power.

• Pure Profile Panels

To give the kites the proper and stable aerodynamic profiles Cabrinha strategically places panels in the design. It improves efficiency, performance and the range of performance.

• Skeletal Frame

This technology secures the structure of the kites when in action and makes it stable. This also enables easier re-launch.

• Slackline Drift

The Drifter kites have this technology. This makes the kite park itself and stays aloft longer when the lines go slack so you can focus entirely on riding the wave.

• Sprint System W/ Airlock

This large airlock system allows quick inflation and after session quick deflation. Each strut can be locked to keep your kite frame rigid and isolate any accidental strut deflation from the rest of the kite.
