SHELL
The X-Tech shell was designed with strength and support in mind. Moreover it has a special sportive look to separate it from the pack. It is made out of a special composite compound that is super stiff thanks to the 25% fiberglass, which was mixed into the material. This makes this shell especially strong and supportive. It also features a 195mm long mounting distance with X-slot to be able to adjust all frames to the side, front and rear, in order to find the perfect skating position for everybody. The bottom is ventilated and incorporates the X design to guarantee torsion stiffness and perfect power transfer to each stride.
CUFF
The adjustable X-Tech cuff was designed with support in mind. It is made out of a special composite compound that is super stiff thanks to the 25% fiberglass, which was mixed into the material. Additional to this it has a side stride bar made out aluminum for even more support. This cuff can be adjusted in forward flex in the hinge area, so sportive skater can get more flex to front and rear, while intermediate skaters could reduce the flex for more support and a less deep skating position. Also this cuff can be adjusted in height for a lower or higher cuff and thus more or less support. The buckle is a clean and stylish fast lock buckle.
PADDING
This skate comes with a 2-piece construction. The bottom is made like a shoe, with great rear fit to avoid movement in the heel. The top part is a flexible cuff, with thick padding that fits nicely around the leg and provides great support, but still freedom of movement. The padding of the tongue is 3-D shaped; following the shape of the foot.
LACING
This model features a high grade PU upper. Featuring a fast lacing with woven loops for easy and fast, yet effective lacing. Open sidewall and a unique 2-piece construction offers not only perfect ventilation and comfort but also a great and snug fit. Superior stitching quality and a nice finish in details along with a rear carrying strap round up this great skate. The upper is connected directly to the shell, which provides a great power transfer and increased foot support and stability. This shell Connected Construction (SCC) increases the maneuverability of this skate.
FRAME
The XC Path frame is a one-piece frame, CNC machined to perfection made out of a solid and strong extrusion. This frame sets a new standard; it is strong, stiff, responsive and lightweight. The XC Path frame includes two mounting distance standards – the 165mm and the 195mm standard and therefore can be combined for many kinds of different overboots if needed. The frame offers the option to vary the wheel position to stand more or less off the ground. The XC Path comes with 8mm axles and pressed in frame spacers, so no extra parts needed and perfect roll right out of the box. We offer two sizes of frames – 17,7” / 450mm fitting shoe sizes up to 41 EU and 20,2” / 514mm fitting size 42 and up.
TIRES & BEARINGS
The skate features Powerslide Rustproof bearings lubricated with light grease. It has serviceable shields, a strong and solid composite cage and 7 steel balls, which are honed and finished to perfection to guarantee a smooth and nice roll. Raceways and balls are specially coated to prevent rust. The 6 ¼” air tires are made by Kenda – a well known manufacturer for tires. They come with a strong 5-spoke rim. The hole around the valve is covered with rim tape which is well known in bicycle tires. The rubber outer jacket is very strong and long lasting including an off road profile for better grip. The tires are inflateable up to maximum 6,3bar / 90 psi. We also offer 150mm Super High Rebound PU wheels for those skaters who like to skate mainly on asphalted roads and like to have more speed.
BRAKE
The Powerslide calf brake offers a lot of possibilities to adjust to the individual’s preferences and skating skills to provide the skater with a secure feeling and optimal braking function. The skater has the possibility to adjust the brakepad in all directions and even the angle. The height adjustment function is perfect to find the preferred personal braking position, with more straight leg or more angled legs. Also once worn down the angle of the brake pad can be adjusted keep the best braking point for more safety and security. The pad can be easily replaced if worn down. The soft pad itself when tightened to the leg can also be adjusted in height. And finally the soft pad can be shifted forwards and backwards. The skate comes with only one brake system only. The skater has the option to switch the brake to the other side if he/she prefers or they purchase an additional brake system which he/she then assembeles to the second skate if he/she feels more secure with two brakes.
