Description

This universal plastic hub guard for freestyle BMX is made by Merritt. They have devised a simple spring clip system that holds the Tension Hub Guard in place and in tension. This system is away from the grind-side so it is not affected as the guard wears down.

The Tension Universal hub guard is compatible with most front hubs and some rear hubs and built for 10mm axles.

The design of these is a really great idea. They fit well, but are maybe a bit of a fiddle, but once they're on they're on. They last a really long time and give great coverage and protection for your spokes and hub flanges. The fact they roll with the wheel means you don't have to rotate them like other static hub-guards, and so the wear is more evenly distributed. They slide really well on rails and stand up to rougher ledges. A great universal hub-guard solution.
