The kids snowboard binding system

Kids snowboard bindings are an important part of the snowboarding setup - both for kids and young snowboarders.

Snowboard bindings help you hold the feet safely on the snowboard. It is also the snowboard bindings, which give you support and stiffness through the highback (the back part of your calf) and the baseplate (the bottom of the bindings). Most kids snowboard bindings have traditional setups with two straps - an ankle strap and a toe strap.

The smallest kids’ snowboard bindings only have one strap since it is not necessary to have two because of the child's small feet. Almost all snowboard bindings have an adjustable highback and a turnable plate, or disk in the center of the baseplate that locks the binding to the snowboard.

Kids snowboards come with premade holes for screws. Most brands that make kids snowboard bindings also make kids snowboards that use four screws (known as the 4-hole system or the "standard system").

The junior snowboard bindings will take a beating

Opposed to binding system on skis, the bindings on a snowboard is very exposed. Therefore it’s essential, that your snowboard bindings are of a certain quality. All the kids and junior snowboard bindings you will find in this category are of high quality and produced in materials that can withstand thousands of crashes throughout the learning curve of becoming the best snowboarder your skills and genes allow you to be.

Last but not least we will like to point out that entry-level bindings are perfect for beginners, but you must expect your kid to want more performance as they progress, and since kids are very fast learners out on the piste, this can happen very quickly.
