SkatePro donated a bunch of skates and a stunt scooter for a giveaway at a charity race in The Netherlands.

Earlier this summer more than 50 children climbed hill Zijpenberg in the Netherlands as many times as possible to raise money to save babies in Africa from getting infected with HIV. Orange Babies, as the charity organization is called, helps pregnant HIV-infected women to prevent transmitting the virus to their babies.

The children, who climbed the mountain, raised a stunning 12.726 euros which according to Merel Bontenbal from Orange Babies will make a huge difference.

“With this amount Orange Babies can save at least 127 babies. With every 100 euros, we can protect a baby from getting infected with HIV,” she says.

SkatePro as sponsor

SkatePro sponsored a bunch of roller skates and a stunt scooter for prizes that according to Merel Bontenbal motivated the children to push themselves a little bit more.

“This is a project, which we are very thrilled to support. Fighting to beat HIV is, of course, something we want to support. We have a lot of customers in The Netherlands, and we know, that they love to roller skate and ride stunt scooters,” says Public Relations Manager, Daniel Nesterowicz Clausen, from SkatePro.
