Bataleon Evil Twin: a freestyle board with an allround character
We tested this years Bataleon Evil Twin and we got one word -brilliant! It is an all round board that everybody can ride, especially when it comes to freestyle. That's why it is Bataleon's all-time bestseller!
The 3BT shape that will do the magic for you
Like all other Bataleon snowboards, the Evil Twin comes with the patented 3BT (Triple Base Technology) shape. This makes the board perfect both for those of you who are starting on snowboarding and also the experienced riders looking for good fun.
The 3BT means that you get uplifted side base at the nose and tail to minimize hooking your edges, and at the same time, solid flat center base. This is good when you are already nailing tricks or attempting them for the first time. You get smooth turn initiation and good floating character if you want to ride it also in light powder (as we did, we couldn’t resist).
One of the most versatile boards you can get
What makes the Bataleon Evil Twin great is that it has it all, in a way. We tested it in the park, on the track, in some powder - it works! Of course, as a twin shape board, it is not the ultimate choice for big powder rides but you can still go off track with it and float well enough. Here is the deal:
- It is 100% symmetrical which is good for freestyle riders (especially in combo with the 3BT). For the beginners, this means you get the opportunity to check if you are goofy or regular. Park riding and tricks are what this board peaks at.
- The board has a medium flex which puts it in the exact soft spot where you get enough stiffness for speed and some trick-friendly flex.
- Bataleon nailed the graphics this year with a combo between matt and glossy finish, so the board lives up to its name and looks totally badass!
We ended up ‘testing’ this board the whole trip and it was a pure joy every single line down the mountain. So check it out! If you are not that much into freestyle and would rather go into the powder, check out the directional boards, for example, the Bataleon CT. Let it snow!
