While the Shock Sleeve Pro Knee Gasket from Ennui may not carry the same level of protection as a thick padded, hard-cap protector, it sure does make up for it in the way it allows you to move freely while doing your action sport.
A stretchable knitted cotton sleeve has been fitted internally with silicone strips to prevent slippage, ensure a snug fit and that the pads stay in place all the time. These pads feature the uniquely developed material - SPC - that is the brainchild of both the development team at Ennui/Powerslide and the guys over at MyFit - Who make skate liners for Powerslide.
This material will not only absorb the load of impact but also help disperse it throughout the construction - Ensuring that the impact to your joints is limited as much as possible. The Pro version features an abrasion resistant Kevlar coating, which provides more flexy comfort and protection than the non-pro version and allows you to move around even more freely.
A clear benefit from this soft-shell protection is both the low weight and also the ability to be protected beneath your regular clothing - Allowing you to look stylish and be fully protected at the same time.
Besides crash protection, the pro version also protects from glides with its high abrasion resistant Aramid fiber cover. A smart choice for downhill longboarders and speed skaters. The pro model is also slightly lighter than the non-pro version, weighing next to nothing.

I love these, the definitely have helped save my knees, I *probably* could've gotten a small instead of a medium because they are a little looser than I think they should be, but I love wearing them under my pants and feel secure with them on. I took a big fall with them down a big bowl, I had a freshly healed scar on my knee and the friction ripped off the new skin. I will wear big knee pads with plastic covers in vert and big bowls as I'm learning, but hey they did save my knee caps. | |

These are the best pads if you want stealthy flexible pads without a cup. The high tech fabric is kind of slippery so you slide when you fall on them and ergonomically they have a better fit than any other brand. I ordered and tried on about $500 worth of pads ---all different brands to try on. Of all those pads the Ennui Shock Sleeve Pro Knee Gasket and Elbow Gasket were the ones I kept. | |

I am a man who is 69 years old & never did any board sports, but am now buying a Onewheel XR & like any wheeled device there’s always the chance of falling. I really needed high quality elbow & knee pads. I unhesitatingly chose SKATEPRO because I saw a short video where two men described the Ennui knee & elbow pads and their description of the quality materials impressed me. I love the fact the Ennui material has Kevlar that saved my knee from injury, AND allowed me to slide away from danger. These gaskets are lovely and comfy and have certainly done the job when I’ve taken a tumble. I’m in my 40s so need to feel well protected, but capped knee pads felt too restrictive. These are fab. The fit is a bit tight. I measured properly and still they could have been bigger - I suspect they were designed around men whose thighs don’t get thicker the higher up you get like a woman’s does, but they do the job and they stay up. I’m very happy overall. | |

Good quality pads. Fit under looser clothing. They get hard when cold but soften up when you've had them on for a while. I've not fell onto them yet so I can't say how effective they are at cushioning impacts. | |

They are light, comfortable to where you don't notice to mutch that you are using them, you can get a bit worn, buy mutch better than a normal pad, plus as the foam is always soft only change in a big shock, so it gets hard as plastic and gives you the right protection at the right moment. | |

Brilliant, worth the extra to go with these. Soft but Really protective. My boys are teenagers and don’t have the biggest legs but went for size L/XL and say the size is perfect for them. Others in the past, different makes in size M were too tight. | |

It’s a comfortable fit with a large area of protection, completely brushed off falls that previously forced me to take a break (Or end the days session) previously. They are almost invisible under a pair of jeans, people didn’t really notice them unless I pointed out to them. One note is that I think at least as an inline skater you won’t be wearing shin pads in conjunction with these pads, given the extra surface area these ones cover below the knee | |

The fit is good and they look pretty cool. They also fit under baggier trousers or on top of skin tight ones. Not too rigid, so you can bend the knees and move freely. I feel more relaxed while on my skateboard when I wear them. I didn’t manage to fall yet while wearing, so unfortunately I am not able to review what they feel like upon impact, but I am sure it’s nicer than concrete! All in all I am happy with my purchase and invested in two more Ennui products. | |

Passent sous le pantalon, ne glisse pas de la jambe ou très peu, protège très bien des chocs et des brûlures. Pour les gros chocs je recommande quand même des protections avec coques (Voir combiner les deux). | |

Litt tykkere og stivere polstring enn jeg fikk inntrykk av og litt større i størrelsen enn tabellen skulle tilsi. Jeg skulle bruke dem til rulleski, men kjøpte meg noen andre i stedet som er tynnere og mykere. Ellers er de sikkert et godt kompromiss mellom beskyttelse og komfort for aktiviteter der man må regne med å falle innimellom. | |

Good protection and wearable under pants. They crop up a little bit after skating for a while, but barely noticeable. Because they harden on impact there is not much cushioning in between anymore, but otherwise they would be too big if there was another layer in between.About the best you can get for protection under clothing, after this come the hard cap protection. | |

Ich finde die Knieschoner sehr angenehm, etwas schwitzen tut man natürlich darunter, aber meine Bewegungsfreiheit wird kaum eingeschrängt. Gute Verarbeitungsqualität, aber leider blieben an einem Klettverschluss eines anderen Schoners ein paar feine Fäden hängen, die dann herausstanden. Absolutly amazing knee protective sleeves. I had the knee G-Force Knee Gaskets but these ones are really much better in my opinion. Cause of the material they have over the foam the slide much better when you fall. Best pads I ever had (expect of the Boneless in the early `90s). | |

jestem bardzo zadowolony z zakupu, ochraniacze mają rozmiar zgodny z tabelą rozmiarów Ennui, używałem jak do tej pory bezpośrednio na skórę w temperaturach około 20-25 st.C bez żadnego dyskomfortu i jakichkolwiek problemów w zakładaniu z uciskiem, krępowaniem ruchów itp. (jazda inline 28km/h z tętnem 80-85% max), produkt niezwykle starannie wykonany i wykończony, jednokrotny upadek na kolano ale bez ślizgu zakończony zupełnym brakiem negatywnych skutków tak dla mnie jak i ochraniaczy...polecam w 100% chociaż cena może odstraszać | |
